Lower Hume Park

Lower Hume welcomes visitors with open spaces, a grass field, play apparatus, a picnic shelter, native plantings, parking and access to the Brunette river and Brunette-Fraser trail.

Upper Hume Park

Upper Hume Park offers a beautiful setting that boasts an incredible range of amenities. Whether your need is a family picnic, a walk, playground, off-lease dog area, spray park, an outdoor pool, sports event, lacrosse box or an outing to exercise your children, you will find what you need at Hume Park.

Hume Park Outdoor Pool

The Hume Park Outdoor Pool is an oasis on a hot summer day. Children love splashing and playing while adults join in or relax on a chaise lounge. The pool is generally open, 1:15 - 8:00 pm, from the last weekend in June to Labour Day (fair weather days). Click here for additional details.

Field use requires a booking through the Parks, Culture and Recreation office.

Washrooms

Both upper and lower Hume Parks provide washrooms that are available from April to mid-October from 8:30 am to dusk. Upper Hume washroom is also available from mid-October to April from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Playgrounds

On May 17, 2012 the Hume Park Playground re-opened with the addition of a new large adventure play structure featuring multiple play stations that can accommodate up to 60 children between the ages of 5 – 12 years.

Existing playground features, such as the toddler play equipment, swing set and cord structure compliment the new adventure play structure. Here is a rendering of the playground design.

Picnic Shelter

A brand new picnic shelter is currently under construction in Lower Hume Park. Details on the picnic shelter completion are forthcoming. Picnic shelter use requires a booking reservation. To book the picnic shelter, please call 604.777.5111.

The picnic shelter is nestled between the Brunette-Fraser River Trail, parkland and forest filled with trails. Other picnic shelter amenities include access to upper Hume Park, a soon to be constructed baseball diamond and public washrooms.
