Mercer Stadium Artificial Turf Field (ATF) provides a professional quality sports field for football, soccer and field lacrosse (click on links for dimensions and markings). The ATF also has a grandstand, washrooms, score board and lighting. It is recommended that users wear sport shoes designed for artificial turf fields to reduce the risk of injury and improve performance.  

Other park amenities include an eight lane track (currently being replaced), skateboard park, grass sports fields and Moody Park Arena.

Sports Field Bookings

To book a sports field (a requirement of use) please call 604.527.4567. There are charges for the ATF and lights but grass fields may be booked without a cost. User groups are encouraged to get proper insurance.

Artificial Turf Field Restrictions

• no food or beverages on field (water permitted)
• no smoking
• no dogs
• no bicycles
• vehicle access requires special permission from Parks
• no spectators on field

Mercer Track

The Mercer Track replacement project, completed in 2011, benefits fitness enthusiasts, sports organizations, School District #40 and two local track clubs: Royal City Track & Field Club, Elite Track & Field Academy and New West Spartans.

The combined track and storage facility cost $2,085,000 with one third funded by the Federal Government.  Additional Mercer Track details include: Technical Details, Surface and Storage Facility.

The 400 meter track offers 8 lanes for running, walking and training.

Washrooms are available year-round from 7:30 am - 10:30 pm.
