Bench Dedication Program

The Parks bench dedication Program offers families and community groups the opportunity to celebrate life's events, such as outstanding achievements, birthdays, anniversaries, births or the life of a loved one.

Types of Benches

Parks offers five styles of dedication benches for sale.

1. Premium Standard - the standard bench features a wood and metal fabrication set into a concrete slab for durability and comfort.
   
   
    
2. Premium Deluxe - this wood and metal bench features a more ornate design than the standard bench.
   
   
    
3. Bancal Bench #1- This contemporary two-section park bench is made from IPE tropical hardwood that is a warm pewter grey colour supported by a grey powder coated metal frame. One section of this bench provides a backing for comfort while the other section accommodates seating in both directions. Available only in the Westminster Pier Park.
   
   
    
4. Bancal Bench #2 - This contemporary three-section bench is made from IPE tropical hardwood that is a warm pewter grey colour supported by a grey powder coated metal frame. Two sections of this bench provide a backing for comfort while the other section accommodates seating in both directions. The purchase of this bench includes two dedication plaques, which can be ordered and placed at separate times. Available only in the Westminster Pier Park.
   
   
    
5. Park Lounger - this contemporary reclining one-section part seat is made from IPE tropical hardwood that is a warm pewter grey colour supported by a grey powder coated metal frame. Available only in the Westminster Pier Park.

Locations

The Premium Standard and Premium Deluxe dedication benches are available for purchase in most parks, open spaces and trails (exception Westminster Pier Park).

The Bancal Benches and Park Lounger are exclusive to the Westminster Pier Park. Click here for a PDF map indicating bench locations.

Plaques

Cast bronze Plaques, measuring 12" - 16" long by 2" tall, can be placed on the each seat back. The plaques accommodate a maximum of 48 characters in four lines of text. Once the wording is confirmed, it is sent to our Bronzing Company who will fax a proof for your review prior to casting.

Plaque locations are centered horizontally on the top wood backing except for the Park Lounger where the plaque vertically positioned on one side.

Bench Fees

1. Premium Standard Bench = $1,932
2. Premium Deluxe Bench = $2,625
3. Bancal #1 Bench = $3,150
4. Bancal #2 Bench = $4,600 (includes 2 plaques)
5. Park Lounger = $5,152

Bench fees include: cement foundation, materials, bronze plaque, installation, future maintenance or replacement and tax. From the point of payment, it takes up to two months to complete a bench dedication order.
